The Dahlia Murders @ Victory North: Savannah, GA: October 11, 2019

Nice to see a moderate tour bus!
For some time now, I have been trying to make my way to see these guys live on stage. They have been taunting me by preforming shows all around my Beebop Farm™ location. On some occasions, I would have tickets in hand and almost out the door… But, each time something came up. I’ve either had to travel or take care of something more important than going out and banging my head.

I can’t really say when these guys came into my collection. A self-discovery was some ten plus years ago more likely during my many lifetime moments of surfing for new music.  I sure it had to do with watching one of their creative music videos from back in the day.

The Black Dahlia Murder “Goat of Departure”

But, I believe what captures most folk’s attention is the band’s name. The Dahlia Murder. A name derived from one true event based out of HELL-A, as I like to call that shit hole place on Earth (sorry, no I’m not.), on January 14 or 15, 1947!  One Elizabeth Short, an inspiring actress whose case became highly publicized due to the graphic nature of the crime, which included her corpse having been mutilated and bisected at the waist.

When Bandsintown alerted me that they will be coming to Savannah, GA… I jumped to the chance to finally cross them off my ‘band bucket list’. Savannah, despite all the shit, is starting to clean up a little. Providing little neighborhood sprawls throughout its vastly HUGE ghetto. Victory North was a nice surprising oasis! A super clean NEW venue that I hope will continue to bring in the music my selfish ass wants to support.

I love watching his signature arm swinging movement towering over the crowd. Their stage performance lacked imagination, creative bullshit, and well… was quite lackluster…  Thus, leaving his arms to present the visuals, the pure raw rage of the twenty-two year old that still resides within his old ass.

FANTASTIC!
