When I got off the boat back into the States from my long vast time abroad, I wanted to catch up with my old and only penpals
It all started out with a cards in the mail for his birthday, so I figured I would continue the tradition with a follow-up… Card.

What’s up bro
~Long time no chat and write and I am sorry about that. Life has been on a journey for me and I just got back from spending nine years in Beijing, China. I believe the last letter we wrote was back in 2005-2007 when I was out in Colorado, just moving there from Kentucky.
So much has happened during these time bro, I would not know where to begin. Parents died, broke arms, made money, moved to China, got married, started a business, now back in the states for schooling which will begin in Feb. Down in Florida which brings me to the part where I will be coming to visit you. Will be sometime spring-summer of 2016. Just simply feel the need to. Your letters have traveled with me to China and are displayed in one of my bars for public view. A few times people ask me what it’s all about, andI’m Just happy to say I had a great pen pal that turned into a friend, but sadly my life separated me from writing.
Anyways, hope all is well with you and you got time to yourself. I’ve heard there is nothing were important in life than knowledge. It seems I can’t get enough of it and I am thankful for the internet to be there when I have questions. First-hand experiences are good as well but usually, that can put one int he way of danger. haha
Hope this holiday treats you well. Will be my first in nine years being stateside. I’m looking forward to celebrating it by myself. I’ve been needing some peaceful time in my life.
