Ryan,                                                                                                               4-14-04

What’s up? Thank you for your letter. I pray that all is well with you and you’re doing good.

Thank you for your letter and the pics. I appreciate you thinking of me.

Mexico looks like it would be a fun place to hang out a bit. I don’t know if I’d want to live there though. I heard a lot about it. I went to Taiwan when I was about 10. My family had gone on a trip to California and we drove to Mexico for a day.

I know if you were there with like $100,000, you’d be set for many years and live in luxury.

If I went for a while it would be to Puerto ?????? or something. It’s called the Mexican pipeline. It’s on the Pacific side.

Of course, I really liked California too. My dad had a good job offer when I was younger to move to California. We (my brothers and I) had begged him to take it. I really liked everything about Huntington Beach.

By the way. Thank you for the birthday wishes, don’t worry about the card. I turned 31, but you were close. I hope to be out by the time I’m 33.

Well, nothing new had really been happening. I get plenty of mail. New ones come at about the same rate as people fade away. Some people only write once and then take off, but no love loss.

I always get plenty to keep my busy. I haven’t been able to take too many nights off lately, so I’m not complaining.

As for a description of my cell. When you walk in, it’s about 7X10 if that. To your left you have the bunk beds. Each bed is joined to the wall. They’re metal slabs bolted to the wall. To the right are two-foot lockers. In the middle is the very narrow walk way. As soon as you come in to your left you have the sink-toilet combo. At the back of the cell there’s a very small window. 4 inches x 21/2 feet (where it opens for air) the rest of it is about 21/2 x2/1/2. There’s a hook about each locker for your towel and coat. That’s about it. No TV. In the cell, but we’re not locked down all day.

That’s about all I can tell you for now. I can’t really say there’s too much happening around here.

Okay, May God bless you always. I’ve enclosed a short???? I thought you might enjoy.

Take care,

Marty
