Throughout my life in Beijing, China, there would be many an occasion to visit the central square. Either for the reason of watching the national flag raising & lowering, or to visit the tomb of the supreme leader, or simply sit down and have a beer. Tho it’s heavily guarded against the ignorance, it was a sterile place to visit.
This photo was during the beginning days of my journey in China. Where one had to go visit the square with youth hostel mates. We took the public bus, mistake, to the square and did a self-guided 3-hour tour. Great stuff if one wants to be bored to death with limited Chinese history.
Great times and a must go visit if anyone ventures to Beijing, China.
